Bonnet glass, the double ogee bowl with a band of cut decoration, finely notched rim on a plain foot English c1780 

Base dia: 6 cm.

Condition: Very good condition.  

Bonnet glasses were used on the table for for dry sweetmeats. Such glasses have been incorrectly termed as monteiths by E. Barringgton Haynes (1941) and consequently referred to as such by later writers.
