Toddy lifter English C1830

Toddy lifter with slice cut decoration English C1830.

Condition: Very good.

Note: Toddy lifters were used for for transferring punch from a bowl to a glass. Shaped with a long slender neck, bulbous at one end with a hole at each end. The bulbous end was dipped into the punch-bowl until the object filled to the capacity of approximately one wine glass, A thumb was used to close the opposite hole until the punch was released into the glass
