Bonnet glass, the ogee bowl with reticulated moulding and petal moulded foot English c1760. 

Base: 5.8 cm.

Condition: Very good condition. 

Note: Slight green hue.

Bonnet glasses were used on the table for for dry sweetmeats. Such glasses have been incorrectly termed as monteiths by E. Barringgton Haynes (1941) and consequently referred to as such by later writers.
