Firing glass English C1770

Firing glass with plain stem drawn trumpet bowl set on a flanged firing foot English C1770. 

Foot diameter:     10.4 cm.

Foot thickness:     1.5 cm.

Bowl diameter:        5 cm.

Condition: Very good with no chips, cracks or evidence of restoration.

Note: Firing glasses are usually dram glasses with a thickened foot. They were used for ceremonial occasions, after a toast was proposed, by being struck loudly on the table.
