Antique glsss ratafia glass English c1765

Ratafia glass. Doubles series opaque twist stem, elongated round funnel bowl with moulded basal flutes and on plain conical foot. Collectors number to underside of foot. English c1765.

Note: Ratafia is a type of liqueur flavoured with almonds and fruit kernels. The glass is sometimes referred to a  a flute cordial. :

Condition Very good. Slight scratching in the base of the bowl.  See photograph 4.
